As Maryland celebrates its Semiquincentennial, we emphasize labor history—all of the workers and their movements that have existed for more than 250 years in our state.

Celebrates our working heritage, using it as a guide to our very important future. This project combines many different historical methods--documents, podcasts, walking tours, and videos.

It is a collective effort to make our history vivid and accessible, and we encourage you to participate. We will resist any effort to cleanse this history but the project will only be as good as you make it.
